Decker also engages clients in solution-oriented, cognitive-behavioral, and family-focused therapies. She has worked with family violence and sexual assault survivors and has extensive knowledge and experience navigating the criminal justice system. Prior to joining the clinic, Ms. Decker worked in private practice as well as in university, educational and community settings.
She completed a two-year postdoctoral fellowship in Clinical Neuropsychology through Baylor College of Medicine. She has provided neuropsychological services in a variety of military and civilian settings, working most recently as a neuropsychologist on the TBI Clinic team at Fort Belvoir Community Hospital in the months prior to their transition to a National Intrepid Center of Excellence Satellite Clinic.
She has also worked in youth rehabilitation, and deployment and reunion settings with the military.
She brings over 15 years of experience in the mental health field. Eichelberger then began to focus specifically on trauma in children and 9 years ago expanded her focus to include adults as well. Shaw brings 10 years of clinical experience and skills including early childhood trauma intervention, effective treatment for older adults, and military veterans with an emphasis in trauma. She has worked within the Colorado Springs mental health community since in clinical and leadership roles. She primarily uses cognitive-behavioral, solution-focused, and dialectic behavior interventions to treat anxiety, depression, trauma, emotion dysregulation, and other mood disorders.
She also specializes in helping caregivers navigate caring for their loved ones through accessing resources and setting up structures for care that allow both parties to maintain their quality of life. Colegrove is a contract clinical therapist at the UCCS Veterans Health and Trauma Clinic and brings 18 years of experience serving both military members and civilians. She has worked in clinical, social services, mental health program management, teaching at the University level, and direct practice positions with children, adolescents, adults and families.
