This is my favorite of the series. View all 5 comments. This was Sophie's story. This was the most interesting installment of the series. There was good movement, some character development, interesting dynamic between the couples, betrayal, inflated egos, pedophilia and character crossovers that tied all 3 books together. All of these elements combined to make an interesting tale. I would have enjoyed the first 2 books much more if this formula was executed.
They didn't add much to the story.
Jan 01, Charlotte Lynn rated it really liked it. She is the wifey of loan shark Dane. All she wants is for Dane to go legit so they can marry and start a family. When the house is raided, Suga has to make some tough decisions. Suga also learns some information about her father and his past that changes her perception of her father and her relationships with friends of her past.
Not having read the first two books in this series, I did not know the background of Suga and Dane. I enjoyed Sophie. Sophie also showed her smarts, not just book smarts but street smarts.
The final novel in the racy Real Wifeys series teems with crime, sex, and betrayal as Sophie “Suga” Alvarez confronts the demons of her past and gets pulled into. Editorial Reviews. Review. "A well laid out plot spiced with wild sex Mink's books are the Real Wifeys: Hustle Hard: An Urban Tale by [Mink, Meesha].
When she has to be self-sufficient she proved she could. She was also loyal. Loyal to those who were loyal to her, a friend you could count on. There was a lot of profanity, which does nothing for me, but it was necessary due to the settings of the book. The sex was rather graphic and sometimes did not add much to the plot, but again I understand some of it was necessary due to the settings.
I did enjoy the book, but probably will not read the first two in this series. This is definitely not a book for everyone, but it does have great characters and a catching plot, some will truly enjoy it. This is my favorite book from the Real Wifey's series. Dane and Suga were definitely opposites, yet perfect for each other. Dane was a ruthless hustler that made mad money in the streets, but never let the streets take over his love for Suga. Suga, a college graduate, working in cooperate America was a book smart chic, but street smart, she was not.
She had fallen in love with Dane in high school, from there they were inseparable.
Write a Review. This was definitely a great read!!!!!! I have fear that the wrong move on his part will lead to the feds taking him from me or some nigga on the come-up taking his life. Everything comes crashing down when Farrah finds out about what Mills has been up to, but she gives in to his begging and goes through with the wedding. Everyone is calling it a suicide, but Niecy knows the painful truth about her sister's death, and it sets her on a dangerous, self-destructive path.
The Love Story of Dane and Suga is passionate and reckless because of Dane's affiliation with the streets. Love, betrayal, lust, urban life, murder, friendship- all aspects are covered in Real Wifeys: Hustle Hard.
