Because Christ gave Himself for us when we were without strength, we are conquerors in Him: Nothing can overwhelm or overcome us. What could be more appropriate in an age of anxiety than a message from God that speaks comfort in the midst of chaos? It is important to shield your mind so that the devil cannot have access to your body.
Be careful of the tools that the enemy will use to plot against you. Scams, setups, and greed are some of the examples of methods that the devil may use to conspire against you. There is victory in Jesus. The Holy Spirit will deliver you physically, emotionally, and physically and declare liberty and freedom from the forces that implant themselves in your life.
Jesus is the same today, yesterday, and forever more. He is our rock. Life is an extreme challenge because all of our needs are different. It is Jehovah who meets all of your needs in life. Poverty is not good for anyone. Anointing without money will frustrate you and cause annoyance. The Lord will deliver you in your time of need through supernatural provision. Take the time to think about a fisherman, a fish, and a coin. There are six factors that will help you in the time of need. Locate your allocation: In order to find vision you will need direction.
God will instruct your path and you will find yourself in the right place, with the right person, at the right time with the right plan. Life is not meant to be trial and error. God wants to guide our lives Psalm The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth in his way.
Embrace divine direction. God can open your eyes to your provisions waiting for you. Physically your eyes can be open but you cannot see without divine insight. Cast a hook: Provisions are not just divine insight. Human participation is necessary. The first thing you must do is get rid of laziness Proverbs He becometh poor that dealeth with a slack hand; but the hand of the diligent maketh rich. Fasting and praying will not help. Lack of motivation, too much pleasure, and large amounts of sleep are signs of laziness.
Bait your hook: You must give in order to receive. When you give you learn to make sacrifices, discipline, and wisdom.
You must follow instructions: Following and obeying instructions could mean the difference between life and death. Peter was faithful and he learned obedience, humility, patience, trust, and faith. Assumption is not instruction. Some things in life are not that hard we complicate them with our limited wisdom. Faith will unlock the safe and allow you all of the abundance that God has in store for you Romans For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. Be a giver: You must release in order to receive. Release your tight grip. It is your responsibility to give to others.
Release your offerings unto the poor. Wisdom will deliver you Proverbs 3: Honour the LORD with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase: 10 So shall thy barns be filled with plenty, and thy presses shall burst with new wine. Take advantage of every opportunity that u have in life. Your destiny is important. The coin of life can be anywhere.
Your blessing is located in a particular place. It is there not here. Follow instructions do not assume and you will succeed in life. If you want to prosper in life you must be obedient and read your Bible. There is no way around it and there are no shortcuts. Many people are saved but are not free. It is very important to understand that God is walking along side you through your trials and tribulations in life. Believers are saved. When problems arise pray and ask God for deliverance. The enemy will try to beat you down but God restores those who are oppressed John If the son therefore shall make you free you shall be free indeed.
Oppression is often compared to Miry Clay. The three reasons oppression can be compared to Miry Clay are: You will often face problems that will swallow or consume you. The more you struggle with the problem it sucks you in and is harder to solve. Dangerous and causes a separation from God. If you stray from God it will be easier for the devil to attack you.
Separation from God is hell. When you are a child of God you are a threat to the devil and he will seek to destroy you. Walking with God means that you stand out. The afflictions in your life will change. It is your choice to either walk with God or against him. God unlike the enemy will punish you not destroy you Matthew 30 But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord save me. You cannot rely on yourself because you are lacking the wisdom needed in order to overcome obstacles in your life. Dangerous situations will often arise and in order to repent and receive deliverance you must: Cry out for mercy.
Repent to show that you are apologetic and have learned your lesson. Surrender and stop struggling, let the Lord have his way with you. Demons are intelligent and very real.
It is imperative that you protect yourself from demonic oppression. Demonic oppression is around us at all times. It can come in the form of nightmares or walking with the spirit of Christ does not prohibit you from being oppressed but it does offer the benefit of not being possessed. The devil cannot stop Jesus but he can delay the miracles that God has for you. Carry the spirit of God with you at all times. The devil has the ability to oppress your destiny before you can manifest it or see it coming. You will self destruct. Before you realize it you will be slowly wasting away Mark And some fell among thorns, and the thorns grew up, and choked it, and it yielded no fruit.
You will not be dead but you will embrace the embodiment of evil and wander around not knowing your destiny. As believers we have eternal victory over demons and Satan. We can be delivered from evil influence in our lives by using the weapons that God has instilled in us. God is our victory Mark 5: 15 And they come to Jesus, and see him that was possessed with the devil, and had the legion, sitting, and clothed, and in his right mind: and they were afraid. God has the power to change every aspect of your life. God will restore, relocate, and release an abundance of positive changes in your life if you allow it to happen.
You must fight for your blessings. God will deliver you from sin through grace and salvation. The spirit of God will enable you to make the correct decisions regarding your life. God is faithful he will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted he will also provide a way out so that you can escape simultaneously with temptation.
First, we must locate our allocation. Locating our allocation is difficult without divine direction and insight. However, with this direction and insight, we will be in the right place, at the right time, with the right person and the right plan. The next factor for financial peace and provision is casting a hook. Casting a hook entails eliminating procrastination and laziness. After casting a hook, we have to bait our hook.
To do that, we must sacrifice, practice discipline, and use wisdom. The fourth step to financial freedom and provision is obeying and following instruction. Releasing our faith is the fifth step. Finally, we must give. This includes paying our tithes, releasing our offering, and giving to the poor and needy. Special thanks to Ndidi Adeyanju, PhD, for providing this week's summary. Being crippled can cause despair and hopelessness and are devastating to the soul. Many people are crippled spiritually, emotionally, and mentally. Take the time to write down the things in your life that cripple you.
Some people are born crippled while others have crippled themselves through circumstances that arise in life. When you are crippled you often have a lack financial capability, unfulfilled dreams and ambitions, lack of platform or opportunity, limitations in life, and lack of help. There are four reasons why people remain crippled. The first reason is fear. Sometimes fear is seen as a natural gift from God, but in reality it is a trick of the devil. Fear is your worst enemy. Fear not only steals your peace and joy, it robs you of your faith and confidence, brings stress and panic to your life, and also causes you to make wrong turns 2 Timothy For the Spirit god gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline.
When you worry about what other people think of you then you surrender your power to them.
It causes insecurities within you and controls your behavior. Your only concern should be to please God. Traditions are the third reason people remain crippled. Traditions are unwritten rules that can be broken. Many times the things we have left behind have a way of overlapping into the present. Our past should be a guide not a definition of who we are. No one is immune from making mistakes. The only mistake that a person can make is not learning from their mistakes. Do not be ashamed of your mistakes instead forgive yourself and release your regrets Philippians Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it.
But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead. Once you make the decision that you do not want to be crippled anymore you must admit three things. The first thing you must admit is that failure is not final. There is always room for improvement. God is there to help guide you through the difficult times that occur in life. The second thing to remember is that feeling guilty for your mistakes will only hinder you from moving forward.
Do not carry guilt it will only slow you down and destroy your life. The last and final thing to remember is that you will make mistakes. Making mistakes is inevitable but divine intervention can help you to cope with your mistakes and move on. In the race of life grace is essential.
Grace can take you places that your power and ability cannot. God is the key to your destiny. There is no mountain too high to climb with God on your side. Take the necessary steps to rid yourself of handicaps in your life. Get rid of being crippled and walk in faith and prayer through every situation. Romans For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.
If there is something that you have asked God for that you have not received do not quit believing that you will obtain it. Numbers God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? Man will break promises but God is not a man.
God has the solutions to your problems. Open your hands to receive the blessings that God has in store for you. If we are honest with ourselves we will admit that we all have something negative that is controlling our lives that we should take a break from. A habit can be destructive or innocent but it has the power to affect us physically, emotionally, or mentally. Whether the habit is work, jealousy, gossip, eating junk food, or picking our nose we all have a bad habit that should be omitted from our lives.
Many people struggle with bad habits because they are consistently done and take strength to overcome. Romans I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do I do not do but what I hate I do. There are three reasons why habits are so powerful and dangerous: First, habits are slowly formed. Often a person is unaware that they are creating a habit. Secondly, habits break your will. After repeating a habit many times the enemy will convince you that you are powerless against the habit.
Bad habits are like comfortable beds, easy to get into but hard to get out of.
Third, habits destroy your life. Over time a bad habit can cause a person to lose everything that they hold near and dear to them. A good person can have bad habits. Families have suffered, jobs have been lost and many marriages have split up due to bad habits. We are not born with bad habits. Our excuses help form habits. Sometimes an emotional bind to a habit can cause a person to stay connected to their bad habits with no control. It is imperative that we take responsibility for our sinful nature and ask for forgiveness to break the cycle.
Just as it took time and energy to develop bad habits it will take strength and courage to overcome them. Some people are in denial and do not want to admit that they have bad habits. Once you admit that you have a problem then you can begin to move in a positive direction towards change. A big man apologizes when he is wrong therefore it is easier for people to forgive you.
Take the time to write down the bad habits that plague your life and take the steps towards ridding yourself of them.
The bible verses for the message were centered around Romans , 2 Peter and Romans He began the sermon by telling us to take a moment to think about the bad habits we were struggling with in our personal lives. He explained that bad habits were powerful because they slowly bind us. He explained this by saying that sometimes, you do not always realize when these habits start and they begin as a cobweb, but eventually, they get so bad that they become as strong as cables.
He also mentioned that bad habits can break our will and also destroy our lives. We were also told that bad habits are not restricted to bad people; good people could be bound by bad habits. Our background and experiences, excuses or defending our actions and our sinful nature were some of the reasons provided for how bad habits develop.
Sometimes, parents do things innocently without realizing that they are slowly destroying the lives of the children watching. Some of the common habits that bind people include: cursing, lying, overeating, oversleeping, under sleeping, lateness, procrastination, addiction to social media, buying on impulse, drinking, smoking, speeding, gossiping, and being talkative. We are able to free ourselves from the bondage of bad habits, even though our minds, sometimes, make us think we cannot. It might take spiritual violence to break free from these bad habits. Some steps provided to break these habits include: Admitting you have a problem Depending on the power of God to break the habits Replacing bad habits with good ones Finding support from others Taking one day at a time and Deliverance In hopes to quit bad habits; stop making excuses, put a plan in place and hold yourself accountable.
There are three types of people in the church: spectators, anticipators, and participators. The spectators are in attendance to observe others, the anticipators are expecting real blessings without labor, and the participators are busy praising, dancing, planning and doing the necessary work so that they receive all of the blessings that God has in store for them.
Which one are you?
Do you find yourself or the people that you know complaining about life? Every situation can be turned around. There are four reasons why people complain. We often complain because as human beings we are very forgetful. We view our circumstances as a temporal thing. The second reason that people complain are their frustrations.
Third, people compare their lives to others which is very dangerous because it causes them to notice the blessings of others and be blind to their own. When our lives are in turmoil we often forget to remember the blessings we have received. Everything about you is original. We all have something to value in our lives 2 Corinthians For we dare not make ourselves of the number, or compare ourselves with some that commend themselves: but they measuring themselves by themselves, and comparing themselves among themselves, are not wise. The fourth and final reason that people complain is their lack of contentment of appreciation of what they have by coveting others.
Complainers often bring a cloud to your otherwise sunny day. Some people are never satisfied leaving a feeling of always wanting more. Godliness along with contentment is a great gain. Only your soul will matter on judgment day Hebrews Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.

You cannot live a positive life with a negative mind. Complaining has huge consequences. Complaining offends the heart of God, kills joy, and creates a habit of trying to force the hands of God. There are four types of complainers. First there is the whiner. The whiner wakes up in the morning, and goes to bed at night with a negative attitude Matthew And when they had received it, they murmured against the goodman of the house. Second is the martyr or the victim. This particular type of complainer is always the victim.
They have daily pity parties and are convinced that they are under appreciated. Third is the cynic, or the person who is convinced that nothing will ever change. In the mind of a cynic something will always be wrong in their lives. The last type of complainer is the perfectionist.
